Born and raised in Salmon Arm, BC, Jenna grew up cooking with her family. She realized her passion for food as a young girl and started her culinary journey in high school. When she landed her first kitchen job at age 16, the spark of true excitement came alive.

Jenna completed a Culinary ACE-it program in 2007 and then studied at Thompson Rivers University. From there, she journeyed to the Fairmont Chateau Whistler on a hunt for knowledge. In 2009, Jenna moved to Kelowna to continue her apprenticeship at Manteo Resort. Completing her Red Seal through Okanagan College in 2011.

Jenna’s competitive nature, hard work and talent won her 1st place at the 2012 Canadian National Junior Culinary Challenge in Halifax, she went on to place 2nd in Las Vegas at the Hans Bueschkens Young Chef Challenge where she represented Canada, cooking against talented chefs from across North and South America.

Jenna has led a distinguished career in the Okanagan working with some of the top chefs in the valley. Starting in 2014, she was the sous chef for only two months before taking the helm as Restaurant Chef at Terrafina, one of the South Okanagan’s most esteemed winery restaurants, at Hester Creek. She ran the kitchen for five seasons, giving her the opportunity to work with local artisan suppliers, meet amazing growers and enjoy the wonderful people of the South Okanagan.

Jenna finds being a Chef in the Okanagan rewarding in so many ways, but the support, collaboration and harmony of working with fellow chefs throughout the valley is what she really loves. Ultimately this is what will give our culinary industry longevity in the Okanagan.
