Cannabis enhanced dinner parties are taking dining to new heights

Modern dining has just hit a new high. With the official legal arrival of Mary Jane to our worlds recently, cannabis-infused products have been all the rage.

Stratus Catering based in the South Okanagan is offering an entirely new eating experience, pairing the famous herb, that is also famous for engaging appetite, with your meal.

Stratus Catering is calling it an “elevated dining experience” not only because you will be feasting on fine cuisine created by husband and wife chef team Jenna and Brent Pillon, but because the dining experience will be enhanced with locally sourced, “consciously prepared, seasonal multi-course menu with cannabis infusions”.

Jenna and Brent have built reputations as creative, locally focused chefs, and together they have founded two new businesses that work in tandem. Stratus Catering is fulfilling their passion for cooking and entertaining and Nimbus Hemp Co.
creating high quality hemp balms called The Good Budder that help with pain relief, reduced inflammation, reduced stress, improve sleep quality and skin health. They are offering products and services to create good vibes, good health and a new way to chill.

And, they come to your house.

“We started Stratus from an idea built on the concept of sharing our passion for food and cannabis in a more impactful and meaningful way.

There is a great connection to food and people when gathered in a comfortable, intimate dining space like, say your own home.”
Ingredients are seasonal when available and promise to be sourced from the best food artisans in the Okanagan.

The website is excellent and will answer all of your questions.

“Every course has a component infused with THC so that you get anywhere from 1-15mg in each course (depending on how medicated you want to be and how many courses),” the website reads.

“The reason we do this is so that you do not get the overwhelmingly strong high that one can get from eating an edible. It’s a nice gradual high that provides a most enjoyable ride. None of the flavors are overpowering. The most important thing to me is that the integrity of the food is kept.”

These dinner parties are designed and customized to peak the desires for both newbie green users and for the aficionados.
